Characters and Gacha

1. Different types of characters
There are different ways of acquiring characters
Story characters, Episode characters, Symphony(collaboration) characters , Chance Encounter Characters are all free
Gacha characters can only be pulled from Dream Encounters with Chrono Stones

2. Upgrading characters
It is possible to upgrade characters to 5 star at Lady Midd, inside the Spacetime rift tavern, accessible by chapter 11 although you will likely not have enough materials for upgrading when you first see her.
Note that not all characters will have a 5 star form.
It is advisable to practise caution when upgrading because materials are limited

3. Character Styles and Alters
A character may have multiple styles, like Isuka(NS).
She has Another Style(AS), Extra Style(ES) and an Alter(AC) form.
It is possible to side grade from one style to the other as long as you have the required materials/scripts
NS, AS and ES are treated as the same character, while Alters are considered a whole new character.
Thus, you can deploy Isuka AS and Isuka AC in the same team for example.

4. Materials required for upgrading
Common materials are Murmur Script,Prayer Script and Chant Script.
Of the three, chant scripts have the lowest drop rate but is required for every single gacha character side grade and upgrade.
Note that story character do not require chant scripts for 5 star upgrades.
Symphony(collaboration) characters do not require any scripts at all, just their upgrade tomes where applicable.

Besides scripts, characters will also require their tome/treatises/opus in order to upgrade, which are usually dropped from Another Dungeon randomly, although some may drop from other sources like quests.

5. Are gacha characters missable after their featured banners
No, characters will get added to later banners eventually.
Always check rates before you pull to know if a character you want is inside.

Time Gated Content

1. Another Dungeon Keys
These are added every 6 hours, 1 green key and 1 red key is given every 6 hours.
There is a cap on these, so it's advisable to get to Spacetime Rift and spend them as soon as you can.

2. Horrors
These will usually respawn 6 hours after defeat, you will want to defeat some of them for equipment crafting/upgrades or Strawboy light farming and such.

3. Sparkles
Green sparkles in town / dungeons / overworld will contain materials which you may need for crafting and upgrades.
They usually refresh an hour after previous collection.

4. Timed episode side content
Note that some content like LoM platinum slime farming, Lost Tome Auction Quests are also need time to refresh.

Leveling

1. Early game levelling (before space time rift)
Have enough levels to clear bosses, not recommended to grind too much early on.

2. EXP another dungeon in Spacetime Rift
Once you get access to Spacetime Rift, you may want to use some keys on Sealed Realm Transitory Time Space(EXP AD) for some early level boosting.
Defeat all enemies in there for a good exp boost.
Leave the horrors alone if you can't defeat them at lower levels.
This AD also drops exp badges which will further help your rate of levelling.

3. Battle Simulator Cyrus Farming
Once you have access to Battle Simulator, it will be possible to farm stage 4 normal of it with a decent setup.
Stage 4 consists of earth weak Cyruses, and will drop 184,000 per try.
1 bold pulse key will give you 6 hours to do the exp farming.
A highly recommended character for Cyrus farming is 5 star May.

4. Max level and bonuses
Characters that are lower than 75% of the highest level character in your whole roster will gain exp bonuses after battles.
For example, if the highest level in your roster is level 80, anyone below 60 will receive bonuses.
Highest level character do not need to be in party for this bonus to apply.
These also applies to characters with multiple styles, if the character had a previous style at a higher level than the current style, when levelling the current style, exp bonuses will apply until it catches up to the previous style level.

Team building

1. What is the meta/ideal team?
There is no single ideal team that works for every content.
There are generally a few types of teams.

a. Mob clearing teams
These are the teams you use for clearing common monsters.
There are some types of outstanding characters for this type of clearing.
Like Joker who is a free collaboration character but has a 0 mp mob clearing valour chant skill, you simply need to switch him from back to front.

b. Light/Shadow Another Dungeon Clearing Teams
You will usually want to get the max light/shadow required for getting the max rewards, but at the same time have a team that can clear the AD.

c. Boss clearing teams
There are various combinations against bosses depending on weakness/resists/boss gimmicks.
There is no standard answer for all bosses, you usually will build a specific team for a specific boss

Main Story

It is highly recommended to complete main story as far as you can.
Most time gated content are locked behind main story completion
You will also need to reach a point in the story to unlock some gacha character skills.
