The Moonlight Forest is the first proper dungeon of the game. Accessed from the Nuaru Uplands, it is very short, lasting all of 4 screens to compensate for the player likely being understaffed. A healing spot can be found in the second screen to aid in progress.

From the Spacetime Rift, you can return to the Moonlight Forest in chapter 11. The warp places you at the deepest point of the forest, just outside the boss room. If you do try to re-enter the boss room with the Goblin Loincloth key item, you will get into a fight with the Goblin King.

While playing as Varuo, a secret entrance can be found to the right of the healing spot. This opens up the Moonlight Forest Cat Road, which plays host to Rotte Rivel. Fight it for its Chaos Drops which can be traded for Jadeites, badges and Grastas.
