Profile[edit]

Introduction Dialog[edit]

Where am I? I’m getting an error on my GPS. Hmm… That’s unusual. I’m Renri, an investigator from COA. I’m working to create a world where all criminals are brought to justice. Hmm… I can see potential… Oh, nothing, never mind. Very well, let’s work together. I’ll be relying on you to help me exact justice wherever necessary.

Bio[edit]

An inspector for the Elzion Judiciary, she battles against criminals, working toward a world built on fair and impartial justice. She is considered outstanding even within the elite group she works for. However, her steadfast principles often lead to tension between her and her superiors. Her only apparent weakness is her sweet tooth.

Other Info[edit]

Story[edit]

Character Quest 1: A Busy Day in the Busy Life of a Busy Detective[edit]

Renri receives information about a case, but she really doesn’t look very happy about it. What could have happened?

Renri is frequently assigned menial tasks instead of actual investigation work, much to her chagrin. Her chief reveals that Renri serves as a competent officer, but her ideal of bringing those who commit crimes to justice does not fit the ideal of the organisation, which is to quickly apprehend suspects as efficiently as possible. The chief recalls an idiot who was torn between expectations and reality, but eventually succumbed to the harsh truth of the world and died. As a result of this disparity, the chief is reluctant to assign her proper work.

Character Quest 2: The Justest of Justices[edit]

Renri gets another unfair review and is given a simple case, even though she easily solved a robbery that same day…

In an investigation work, Renri arrests a man involved in a drone bombing incident. The male suspect cries of injustice on the Frontier Dome Disaster incident as the motive for his attack, and is quickly taken away. Renri attempts to investigate this incident separately, but faces restricted access to COA intelligence. Her chief decides to help her out on this one lesson so that she can understand the foolishness of her ways. The Frontier Dome Disaster incident is in fact the chief's first case. However, Renri meets up with a former KMS employee who reveals a recording of the court trial. While KMS had indeed lost the proceedings, KMS had barely needed to make any reparations for failing to safeguard the structural integrity of the Xeno Prisms in Frontier Dome. Once the court has reached a verdict, it is difficult to overturn, especially considering the fact that a lot of time has passed since the case. The chief silently admits he is the idiot he had mentioned earlier.

Character Quest 3: Medicine for a Fool[edit]

Renri can’t get the case of the dome collapse out of her head. However, many obstacles stand in the way of her investigation.

In another emergency connected to the case, Renri finds an android who survived the incident and attempts to bomb the Elzion plate. Although technically incapable of emotion, the android reveals he is carrying out vengeance, to avenge his owner and family who were unfairly blamed for the Frontier Dome Disaster. The android was also assigned to service the Xeno Prism along with KMS, but he found that KMS failed to maintain it periodically. Yet, the court ignored the android's testimony, leading to an inconsequential ruling on KMS. Renri convinces the chief to treat the android as a witness rather than as an evidence so that the trial can be reopened once more. The chief reluctantly does so, and warns Renri not to rely on the idiot who is already dead. Renri answers with the same sentence the chief had used earlier, that there is no cure for foolishness.

Foreign Skies and the Ship to Freedom[edit]

In another incident, Renri is assigned to replace the previous agent and look over the family. While Renri initially believes she is stationed there to watch out for possible crimes, she later reconciles the possibility she is actually there to protect the otherworldly family, who is running from their authorities for breaking strict uniformity rules and hence experiencing freedom.

Character Quest AS: Laughter in a Dreamlike World[edit]

Renri receives a mission to investigate an incident. She assumes it was another run-of-the-mill case, but she soon finds out that it is not so simple.

Renri receives an exciting undercover mission at a carnival and changes to her Covert Agent Style for the occasion. She and Aldo thus have Synth Hydra Z take them to the designated location and are disappointed to find out that it is at Toto Dreamland, where they meet the Chief, who is also wearing a carnival outfit!

Apparently, he was sent there as well, as someone has been wanting to kick him down a notch ever since the Frontier Dome case was reopened. Both Renri and the Chief then get details about their mission: someone is illegally using electricity at the amusement park and they must catch them.

They investigate the area until they reach the merry-go-around. Toto’s voice guide mentions that Renri exceeds the weight limit, upsetting her, but Aldo shows her that the sensors are just broken. They proceed further into the park and run into a regular monster. The Chief tries to show off his fighting skills, but is taken out in one hit, so Renri takes care of the monster for him.

Some guy suddenly approaches them, claiming that this land belongs to himself and Toto. The Chief tells them that the guy is the one who is keeping the attractions running illegally. Aldo and Renri try to apprehend him, but he punches the Chief out of his way and runs into the Haunted Chateau. Instead of chasing after him, the Chief proposes that he and Renri wear mascot costumes to safely approach the guy, while Aldo watches their backs.

The Chief and Renri thus approach the guy dressed as Toto and Mimi. He figures out that they are lying to him and punches Toto, who is actually Renri, much to his surprise. He then summons the Ghost King to attack them, but Aldo and Renri defeat it.

Unwilling to give up, the guy makes the Ghost King wake up again. However, it becomes upset with the guy for interrupting its sleep and attacks him. Cetie then shows up with Clock and Retro and deactivates the Ghost King, having been sent by the Administrator. Before he leaves, however, he questions Renri and the Chief about their outfits.

They then take the guy to Elzion to have EGPD arrest him. The Chief explains that he was the former owner of the park who hasn’t given up in restoring the land of dreams. Before letting an EGPD trooper take him away, the guy asks Renri where she found the Mimi costume, since it wasn’t at the park, but she thinks he is just talking nonsense.

In the meantime, Toto and Mimi are happy that they are finally free to play alone with their friends in Toto Dreamland.

Character Quest Isuka ES: Swearing on the Scales of Justice[edit]

As a ventren, Renri is a commanding officer to Isuka in the COA.
