Multiple Wind Zone Awakening[edit]

Notable part of Melody AS skill set is that she can deploy awakened wind zone multiple times per battle. But her ability to do so has a downtime of at least 1 turn without zone between each deploy.

  • She starts her (3 turns) State with End of Turn (EoT) action but deploys (3 turns-) AZ with Start of Turn (SoT) action next. So both state and AZ have same duration and ending turn.
    • AZ will not happen until next turn SoT so 1 turn downtime at start.
  • AZ and State will next last for next 3 turns until both runs out.
  • Turn without zone: happens when AZ and State ran out, she starts stacking her stacks again in Start of this Turn (SoT). And AZ deploy will only happen in SoT of next turn after sate activation of EoT. (Or later if there are no 4 wind chars in SoT of this turn.)

It is possible to reduce or even totally remove AZ downtime by including in your team characters with AZ turn extension abilities like Noble Blossom or Red Clad Flam., and having them in front or swapping them in before she will deploy AZ with EoT. There are possible downsides to this too, unless character with AZ extension ability will have wind personality:

  • Non-wind AZ extenders come in conflict with her [4 wind characters in front] condition, and max values of her conditioned buffs and debuffs will drop by half, to their minimum values, if used when non-wind characters are in front.
  • it may slowdown her [4 stacks] accumulation and she may be not able to get all 4 stacks in first turn after her state ended and redeploy AZ, which will mean that there is one more turn to wait and to compensate with AZ extenders.

Other, more direct approach to compensate her 1 turn of no-zone downtime is to use Characters or Grasta with wind zone deploy skill and awaken skills in your team if needed.
