Second Phase : Core & Division[edit]
After Lavog HP is reduced to 0 for the first time, Lavog will not be defeated and will instead split between 5 entities (one big Lavog and 4 smaller ones).
To win the fight, you need to defeat the main core (labelled as Lavog : Core) without killing the decoys (labelled as Lavog : Division). Killing a decoy will trigger the skill "Big Burn", restoring the HP of all Lavogs and reset the phase. (Also apply when you simultaneously kill the Core and one Division).
The core is not always the biggest Lavog and changes depending on the Lavog you are currently fighting.

Tips & Trivia[edit]
- All Lavog will receive a huge defensive buff (100% Physical resistance + 100% Type Resistance) if they are attacked by an element that is different from their own. Consider using required element or Null attackers such as Aldo or Benedict.
- When reaching 50% Stopper in the first and second phase, and the Skill "Big Burn" is launched (removing all buffs and debuffs), Lavog's planned action is still performed ! For this reason, the attack after the HP stopper is reached may be received without debuffs, wiping easily the party with a single hit. Consider reaching stopper on Fixed Attack action and/or find a way to reapply debuffs after your DPS has acted.
- This doesn't apply to the moment where Lavog splits, as Lavog : Core and Lavogs : Division will skip their action this time.
- Be careful when using Another Force in the second phase : if you kill multiple Lavogs (meaning a Division at alongside the Core) with AF, the resurrection action from the Lavogs : Division will take precedence, and reset the phase into an infinite loop. Consider using only single target DPS or find a way to not overkill the other Lavogs.
- The gimmick of Lavog is probably a tribute to the gimmick of Chrono Trigger's final boss fight, Lavos.
