Where to find EPS-209 Murphy

To unlock this battle, speak to Caviar in IDA School L Block after completing Chapter 2 of The Apex of Logic and Cardinal Scales. Travel to Route 99 to fight this boss, then after defeating it, return to Caviar with its key items in hand to obtain Regret, Curio's signature katana.

Tips

• Endure its first four turns, then on the 5th and 6th turns, chip away at its shields before going to burst it down on turn 7. If you cannot put out enough damage to defeat it, it will outlast you in a drawn-out battle.
• Use weapon-type Zones other than Slash to help with mitigation.
• Extra Style finisher attacks can bypass its innate resistance.
• Doubled for "western" personality 35>70% Shade type resistance buff of Clarte AS can be very big help for surviving.
• Eva's Lucent Magi smashes through resistance for 5x the damage. If you focus on buffing her up, she can provide enough damage by herself to AF Murphy to death.
• Jet Tactician's Paper Tiger turns all those resistances into weaknesses, trivializing the fight.
• Characters with Barrier Piercing will also be able to finish the fight quickly.
