Procedure

Quest Step	Destination	Notes
Collect dragontears in the Plains.	Vanward Camp	Obtain Dragon Fossil S, Dragon Fossil B, Dragon Fossil R Must complete the Sidequests to proceed with the story. Each one requires a type of Dragontear/Blacktear Weapon to proceed. Completing a side quest will provide the material to craft another weapon. Craft a sword/katana/ax, fist/hammer, and staff/bow. Side Quest: Myriad Paths is unlocked Side Quest: Bountiful Curiosity is unlocked Side Quest: Gentle Avenger is unlocked Once all subquests are complete, travel with map will be disabled. Once cutscene is complete, map travel will be enabled.
Get supplies in the Base Camp.	Arcadia Base Camp	-
Bring supplies to the campsite.	Flameclaw Valley Depths	Attempting to fast travel to the Vanward Camp will place you in front of the quest marker instead.
Flee the plains.	Flameclaw Valley Depths	You are unable to switch maps. No monsters will appear
Return to base.	Arcadia Base Camp	No monsters will appear
