Character Traits[edit]
A stubborn, driven researcher who looks very young. Nonold is actually older than he looks. After a failed experiment done on himself, on immortality, his body has reverted to an infantile state. Many believe Nonold to be a genius- and he believes no one else is is equal.

Flowers for You
Nonold reunited with an old acquaintance. It seems she has a special favor to ask…
A girl from Nonold’s school days stops him and Aldo in Elzion. She asks them for some tea at the tavern, where Nonold mentions quitting KMS. Aldo is surprised that he worked there, since he looks so young, and the girl figures out that he hasn’t told him. She explains that they were working in different labs and Nonold’s lab used to produce the most amazing results. Nonold is considered a genius.
She then tells them that someone from work has brought in a houseplant to the lab and asks Nonold if she can get some of his seeds at a friend’s rate. The girl would like to take care of a plant. Nonold mocks her, thinking that someone as clumsy as she is could take care of a flower, and responds that he wouldn’t sell them to her at a good price. She reminds him of all of the favors she did for him, but he still refuses. When the girl finally says that she will ask Krervo, however, Nonold resolves to give her the seeds.
They head to Baruoki to get a seed, but Nonold decides to get a flower that has already sprouted instead, explaining to Aldo just how clumsy his friend is. He also gets another idea and pushes Aldo to go to Moonlight Forest, where he wants to get materials to make the flower carnivorous in order to prank her for how she baited him.
Despite Aldo’s reluctance to help him be mean to his friend, Aldo fights a lost gentia with Nonold so that he can extract enough samples from it. He quickly makes a potion that will make the flower immortal and plans to leave his friend speechless.
Back in Elzion, they find Nonold’s friend with Krervo, much to Nonold’s annoyance. The friend explains that Krervo used to always get better grades than Nonold, which sparked Nonold’s one-sided competition with him. Nonold then gives his friend the immortal flower, but Krervo gives her some seeds that are easy to grow and says: “Even if it may wilt one day, that is all part of living together. That is what really makes it beautiful.”
When their friend agrees with Krervo, Nonold runs out in anger.
Character Quest 2[edit]
All That Time Spent Together
You meet a man searching for a cat in Elzion. Nonold said he had no interest and refused to help, but then…
Aldo and Nonold run into a man searching for his cat named NoNo in Elzion. When Aldo mentions that the cat’s name is similar to Nonold’s, he gets irate and doesn’t want to help the man. Despite his misgivings, Nonold is fascinated with Aldo’s willingness to help people. Aldo runs off to find the cat. Nonold joins him.
The man later tells them that his late wife found the cat years ago and she is the last family he has left. NoNo has a paw-print pattern on her fur and is sick, not having much time left. When Aldo says that he has always found it strange that cats go off and hide somewhere before the end, Nonold suddenly becomes interested in finding her, wanting to disprove this belief.
Nonold takes Aldo to Xeno-Domain and Aldo wonders if he is planning to make the cat immortal. Nonold tells him that his potion only works on plant-based lifeforms, as he tried it on himself and it returned his body to a more infantile stage of development. At Aldo’s amazement, Nonold explains that he is the same age as Krervo, but he is in his young self’s body due to his experiments on immortality.
Nonold adds that if he continues to age, his body will remain stable, yet he will be mentally shattered, because a person’s brain isn’t able to cope with knowing and remembering everything as he does. When Aldo asks him why he wants to become immortal, Nonold states that it would give him time to investigate the whole world.
Therefore, he has no time to look for a cat and is planning to graft a biological scanner on a robot in the Industrial Sector to look for her in their place. After finding and defeating an enhanced synth drone, Nonold quickly makes the machine and rushes back to scan the cat’s owner in Elzion. The cat is revealed to be at the airport, where she was found by the man’s late wife.
Finally, they find NoNo in her last moments. Nonold puts a sensor on her collar that can interpret what she says. NoNo is able to thank-you and say goodbye to her father, the man, explaining that she just wanted to play hide n’ seek with him one last time and telling him that her mother is waiting for her. After she passes away, the man thanks Aldo and Nonold for what they have done for him and goes back home.
Nonold cries and admits that he now understands Krervo’s words about the immortal flower. Aldo is surprised to hear him saying something that isn’t about his research and laughs, much to Nonold’s annoyance.
