Profile[edit]

Introduction Dialog[edit]

My name is Felmina… I’ve gone by many names in the past, but we can go by that one. I am concealed by darkness and live in the shadows – impossible to anticipate. I’ve no interest in fame or honor. My life belongs to another…

Bio[edit]

A woman who was taken in by an unnamed guild as a child and taught a secret martial art. Tired of that life, she ran away to Miglance, working as an Information Broker. Story[edit]

Character Quest 1[edit]

You Remind Me of Someone

You meet a girl in Rinde. For some reason, Felmina seems to be concerned about her…

Aldo and Felmina see a vulgar man in Rinde yell at a little girl for not properly doing her job. She rushes to do a better job and bumps into Aldo. Before she can leave, Felmina fixes her hair with a clip she dropped, but also retrieves Aldo’s wallet that the little girl skillfully stole. Since she reminds Felmina of someone, they decide to try and help her.

They catch her and she explains that she feels like she has no other option than to listen to the vulgar man, since she has lost her parents. They convince her to take them to the vulgar man. Felmina is resolved to claim the little girl’s freedom without violence and agrees to get the medicine Heaven’s Iris for the vulgar man in exchange for the little girl.

They head to Nuaru Uplands to obtain the nails of a bird called Rainbow Roc that can be used to make Heaven’s Iris, which is used to briefly grant its drinker exceptional vision. Felmina says that it is perfect for long-range shooting and confesses that she was a member of an Assassin’s Guild as a child.

Just like the little girl, she would be denied food if she failed a job. Finally, she realized that she couldn’t continue living like that and fled to Miglance. She adds that she would like to give that girl some hope for a better future, although she doesn’t think she can be the one to save her from darkness.

They give the Rainbow Roc’s nails to the vulgar man as a down payment. He agrees to free the little girl and Felmina teaches him how to make the medicine. He is ecstatic about the effect of Heaven’s Iris, but Felmina reveals that she is a bounty hunter and scares him away when she threatens to collect the price on his head.

Felmina then reveals that the nails she gave him were actually just an ordinary medicine for tired eyes and tells the little girl to a place where she will be treated well and will be able to make better use of her skills with her hands. Meanwhile, the vulgar man discovers Felmina’s deceit, but is happy that the little girl will be able to act a spy for the guild, now that she is in her care. As he walks away, however, he is assassinated by a hooded figure.

Character Quest 2[edit]

The Shadow Within

Felmina took the girl from Rinde under her wing. How is she doing now?

Aldo and Felmina go check on the little girl they saved in Rinde, as she is now working at the tavern in Unigan. She is fine, but would like to become Felmina’s apprentice, but Felmina wants her to wait and make an informed choice about what she wants to do for herself. She adds that everyone must have their own dream; hers is to become an expert on intelligence and use her knowledge to bolster the city’s security.

The lady that is looking after the little girl then tells Felmina that it is about time to go, so she goes to meet another lady with Aldo. The lady reports that their allies fell victims of intentional attacks and is worried about her own safety. Since they are obviously being targeted, Felmina has already sent everyone an encoded message containing measures to ensure her associates’ safety.

Apparently, the message can only be read with the Mistlancians’ Codebook, which is also encrypted, although Felmina thinks that they need another layer of protection. The message ordered everyone to gather at Karek Swampland to discuss a response, so they head there next, while the lady stays in Unigan to gather more information.

At the meeting place, Aldo and Felmina fight two beasts and are joined by the lady who was supposed to stay in Unigan. Felmina figures out that she is a mole, but she throws a smoke bomb, steals the codex from Felmina, and runs away. Assuming that she headed to the nearest port, they make their way to Rinde.

In Rinde’s tavern, the mole meets with the little girl, who poisons her with a drink. Believing that she won’t be able to get a happy ending like Felmina, the little girl leaves. Aldo and Felmina arrive just in time to save the mole’s life and Felmina realizes from the poison that they are dealing with her former Assassin’s Guild. Since the little girl didn’t properly use the poison, however, there may be a chance that she wanted to be discovered…

Character Quest 3[edit]

A Flower that Flees from the Sun

The girl has run away from her new life and Felmina. In a possibly positive turn of events, Felmina hears news of the Assassin’s Guild.

The lady that was looking after the little girl approaches Felmina and Aldo in Unigan with a new lead from the turncoat they saved from the poison: the Assassin’s Guild is behind everything and they are camped out in the Moonlight Forest. It also seems that they are targeting someone important to the government, so the lady goes to take care of the plan, while Aldo and Felmina go to Moonlight Forest, even though it may be a trap.

Felmina is able to sneak behind a guild member in the forest to threaten information about the little girl out of him. He claims that she just killed her first target: a minister that will be passing through the Serena Coast on a diplomatic meeting in Rinde. Felmina reveals that they suspected the minister to be a target, so they asked him to delay his journey.

Aldo and Felmina rush to check on the minister at Miglance Castle, but Felmina’s associate arrives to tell them that the minister refused to delay his journey. They make it just in time to stop the girl from fulfilling her mission. The girl thinks that it is too late for her to live like a normal person and runs away, refusing to listen to Felmina.

Aldo and Felmina catch up to the little girl in Rinde, as she is being intimidated by another guild member for failing the assassination. Felmina tells the girl that she was able to change because someone offered her friendship and she is now doing the same to her. The girl finally apologizes to Felmina and admits that she really wants to be friends with her.

The guild member thus summons a monster, but Aldo and Felmina defeat it. Felmina then sneaks behind the guild member, resolved to kill him, but she ultimately lets him escape.

The girl is grateful to her and Aldo, as she now has the opportunity to really find her true dream, but wonders who is the person that offered Felmina their friendship. Felmina responds that she will know once she meets her, since her radiance is such that it once brought a flower withering in the dark back to life.

Character Quest AS[edit]

A Lady of Beauty

Not many know that the peace of the capital is maintained largely thanks to Felmina. One day, she receives a notice about a crisis that could destroy the kingdom.

Aldo and Felmina are approached in Unigan by Felmina’s two associates, the lady and the girl, who tell her that the defensive line has been broken, which means that the entire kingdom is in peril: Miyu is leaving the city on her own! Aldo thinks that there is nothing to worry about, but Felmina rushes to reach Miyu on the Serena Coast.

They spot two hoodlums planning to kidnap Miyu, who is walking to Rinde unaware of anything. Felmina suggests arresting them in Rinde, while her associates, who reveal themselves from out of the shadows, will look after the princess.

Felmina apprehends the hoodlums before Aldo can even draw his sword and interrogates them… With some violence. They confess that someone hired them through a note and she has them tell the mastermind behind it all that the target is in Rinde and will be returning to Unigan soon. She then summons other associates of hers, who act as commoners while secretly maintaining peace in the kingdom, and asks them to act as her guards. She changes to her Shining Shadow Style with a dress that was originally made for Miyu, but was the wrong size, in order to act as bait. Before heading out to the Serena Coast, she tells Aldo what to do in case anything happens to her.

On their way, a man asks them for help with his carriage, but all of the ladies surround him when he mentions knowing that someone really important was secretly visiting Rinde. The ladies try to arrest him, but are defeated, as three more men appear. They reveal themselves as real ninjas from the East.

The ninjas admit that their lords are interested in Miglance and attack Aldo and Felmina. Luckily, Felmina reveals her weapon hidden under her dress and quickly defeats three ninjas, leaving only their leader standing. He summons a specter. Aldo and Felmina defeat it, but the ninjas escape. It is then revealed that Felmina told Aldo not to protect her in case anything happened to her.

The ladies apologize to Felmina for being defeated, but she apologizes as well, confessing that she purposedly didn’t teach them ninja skills, because she deemed them too brutal. The girl then appears with the other lady and reminds her of something she told him in the past: “No skill is too dangerous to be out of reach!” Indeed, all of Felmina’s associate want to be strong enough to help her.

As Miyu as returned home, they all head back to Unigan, where Aldo wonders how Felmina’s dress fits her so perfectly. Unbeknownst to them, Miyu reveals to a merchant that she lied about the dress to Felmina in order to make her accept it.
