Max Damage

The Goal:

To calculate the maximum amount of damage that can reasonably be done by a single move in a single turn. And to have fun ig. I'll definitely get a few things wrong but that's part of the whole fun of doing something like this.

The idea is basically how much damage could we do in a single skill use if AE removed the damage cap. I'll be using a custom scenario that doesn't exist in the game to maximize damage output as a math experiment basically. This thing might not keep up with powercreep but I'll try my best if I think anything can beat what I've got here.

For reference, I will be adhering to the Damage Formulas as best I can, along with using other knowledge I've picked up along the way, though I probably won't be perfect.

Rules & Assumptions

I'll be following a couple of rules for this and all subsequent calcs. These include:

  • Outside of AF only
  • A single move is defined as what the character does within a full turn after pressing the "Attack" button reasonably caused by the selected move that turn, or what they do within a single Stellar Burst activation when applicable. This includes copy lunatic and multi-activation moves, moves that include an EoT attack such as Shigure AS's Tenjinreppa, and composite moves such as Sesta's Twinblade Wolf. This definition will not allow things like EoT attacks that last for more than one turn such as Milsha's Delfini attacks or follow-up attacks such as Tsukiha's Myriad Flame to add to the damage done by other moves made on turns where both moves' effects happen.
  • Everything must be plausible on the character's side. While having open access to all the in-game resources and perfect RNG is assumed, everything else will be just as if we were playing the game, so stuff like optimizing character equipment/skills and juggling buff turn durations or AF or Stellar Bursts and whatnot are all important to consider and calculate for plausibility.
  • (Optional) Enemies won't move or attack. While I'll try my best to follow this rule, I'm aware that characters such as Shion AS or Heena AS require them to be hit by enemies to operate their gimmicks. I do want to avoid calculating counters but be my guest if you believe in Alma AS supremacy.

I'll also be operating under a couple of assumptions for this battle:

  • 5 enemies
  • Weak to everything (unless for gimmick)
  • level 195
  • 0 pdef and mdef
  • Toxic Smog environmental effect
  • Access to all characters at 255 l/s, max awakened, and all equipments

Execution

(This T1 AF seems a little complicated to pull of but with flash zone and a frame 1 100% speed buff I'll assume it works out.)

  1. AF: Thille use Promised Land first then tries to get every skill except Benediction once, Pizzica gets Berceuse and Recitativo. When Stellar Burst Full, Thille do whatever to help finish using everything, Melissa gets Hornet Hail. Then Melissa Glint Gale, Pizzica Slash Zone, Thille Benediction until 1.6x, and end AF with Melissa having at least two type attack from Glint Gale and at least one Break (Crystal). Fill the second Stellar Burst as much as possible
  2. Thille switch with Melpi, Yipha AS Faith on Melissa, Pizzica Raphsody Aria, Melissa Nephrite Boost. Keep filling Stellar Burst.
  3. Use Moke's Charge skill. According to previous assumption if the second Stellar Burst is full, Melpiphia uses Future Sight: Get 'Em, and Melissa uses Hornet Hail for a grand total of:

3.9128647362×10^14 damage by Melissa.

5000% mod, copy lunatic, 2x Destruction Mode, +436 spd stacks, 100% spd, 82.5% type atk+, 85.3125% type res-, 68.6% phys res-, 75% katana, +120% crit damage, +1 weakness multiplier, break for both hits, maxed Singular Focus since 1.6x mp+, 3.2x Crystal AZ on weak, 2x song, 1.5x prayer, 1.2x aura, 61.8037832653x from equipment and shared effects, 5x Toxic Smog.

Here's the math. Y'all let me know if there are any improvements that could be made, or whether I did anything wrong.


Max HP

The Goal:

To calculate the maximum amount of HP that one character can have at any one time. I will mainly be looking at how much HP I can accrue in a vacuum ignoring the enemy, although in some cases such as fighting Warped Reborn Life the enemy or type of battle you're in might help in accruing more hp.

The Setup

As of version 3.6.50, this is the best setup I can think of:
