Mistrare’s first character quest (starts in Zol Plains) has you fight a level 10 Gazami in Acteul. So you can get the first encounter reward long before you see them as random encounters.

Yeah the wiki just tend to ignore character quest enemies since for the most part, you can only encounter them once and while you can get award for 1 from it, you would still need need to farm them for the 20 or 100 awards.
