Monster Clash Arena

From Another Eden Wiki

Monster Clash Arena is unlocked in Chapter 97 by visiting a side exit from Arkiris Plains that leads to Dr. Coo's Laboratory. You are introduced to the minigame's mechanics and tasked with traveling the lands and scanning the wildlife to unlock and fill out your MCA decks. The ultimate goal is to retrieve Dr. Coo's stolen equipment by defeating each Sphynx employee in a MCA duel.

During a MCA match, each side will field a monster, randomly chosen from their MCA deck. Each monster has its own unique ATK score and attribute, and either side can use a Skill to modify either their on or their opponent's ATK. The monster with the higher ATK will win a battle, and the difference in ATK between both monsters will be added to the victor's score.

Each MCA match has a turn limit and point cap. The side with more points at the turn limit, or the side that hits the point cap first, is deemed the victor.

  • Opponent - Tap the character to see the skills they can use in MCA. Skills that have been used will be marked with [X].

Zones[edit]

Zones will boost monsters of the corresponding Type, and weaken monsters with bad Type compatibility.

Each Zone can only be deployed once per match. Each Zone will persist for 2 turns, with the time of the deployment as turn 0. If you and your opponent deploy a Zone at the same time, the Zones may overwrite or cancel each other based on compatibility. You do not begin with any ability to deploy Zones, but by defeating each of the Sphynx employees you will unlock that ability.

MCA Scanner & Deck Completion[edit]

You can use Dr. Coo's MCA Scanner to scan monster data. If you find a docile monster that won't attack, scan them, and the scan data will automatically be added to your Deck. Monster usually have a gold sparkle effect on them.

There are 4 types of Deck in total. When a match starts, you can choose which to use. However, using a Deck other than the Coo Special Deck requires you to have scanned 10 of the monsters within the deck. Scanning even 1 monster will let you use the Deck but unscanned monster data will be substituted with data from the Coo Special Deck until you scanned all the monsters.

Name Dr. Coo's Description
Secret Society Sphynx Members
Rah of Flames A hot-headed character. You'll catch on as soon as you talk. They relish tough survival challenges, and thrive in harsh, wild terrains.
Khonz of the Wind Seems laid-back and aloof, but beneath that facade lies a cunning mind. Don't let their appearance fool you. They thrive in dry winds and probably inhabit arid lands.
Gabe of the Earth Silent and unreadable, they attack aggressively in battle and seem to have a thing for damp places. Maybe check areas with that vibe.
Yoon of the Sea Polite and charming on the surface, but their pride is as high as they are superficial. Now, where could they be? Given their cool demeanor, I'd wager they're chilling in an icy locale.
Seth of Destruction Full of confidence and always up for a duel, a true seeker on a quest. Among the executives, their skills are top-notch. Word is they're training it up in a rocky enclave, secluded and surrounded by boulders.
