It would be nice to filter for characters which can be used as tanks.

Thanks a lot and I hope this suggestion finds support as I am not versed enough to implement what’s needed here.

What do you mean? Tank is a generic term and does not actually mean anything by itself. Do you mean a Rage setter (Under Status)? Do you mean someone who has Hold Ground (Under Support) by default? Do you mean someone who does Guard (Under Support)? Do you mean someone who gives Cover (Under Support)? Do you mean someone who counter physically or magically (Both under the default list)? Or is there something else the filter is missing?

yeah AE is more complex than single role like that.

most tank-like property you can currently filter is "Guard". Other tank types can be bypassed by enemies in different situations with use of many AE mechanics. Basically all buttons in support starting from Barrier can be used to filter some tank-like buffs that may help to survive.

But also in most of cases its composition of stat debuffs on enemy and res buffs on party that makes whole party to survive.

Hello and sorry for replying that late.

With „tank“ I mean those that are commonly agreed to like Anabel, Bertrand, radias as, starky, garambarell, soira,… So the usual quick and dirty „who is there?“ which probably is enough for most players in first stance.

If we would look at defense supporting qualities, there are many characters that provide those you mentioned in a strong or weak quality - not every character having one of these qualities would be a tank. I rather say that the tank characteristic must be added by „human“ judgement to the respective characters as trait and then could be used as filter here, instead of activating several abilities and hoping to only get those that qualify as tank we would agree to as the community.

If we need a more specialized support ( supporting the tank and defense) we would use the very refined filters of this list to find what’s needed.

I hope I could express myself a bit better and what the community would probably like a lot.

Like Void said, most "tank" mechanics are filtered under Support and I have added other mechanics like HP shield and cover to the list. If you want the easy tank, then Prai, Radias AS, or Lovely AS is the answer. The filter is made with the intention to avoid more editing from humans than needed.

If you want human judgement, Bamji's tier list has roles like you want so you can ask them if they could enable roles on their tier list page

If I activate for example the „battle start“ filter, it would be nice to see in the query answer, which effect will occur and if I query for example for pain/poison it would be great to see if it’s at battle start, permanent or x turns in a field of the answer set.

With the current filters I have to either experiment with the filters or need to browse the character page. But exactly this is what a player wants to know with a minimal amount of clicks and time needed.

Would it be possible to integrate this kind of information?

Bluezero (talkcontribs)

You can combine filters to limit to what you want. The default row with Pre are checking for Preemptive, Battle Start, End of Turn and all when selected. In regards to persistent status effects or x turns, it something to consider. Though right now I'm avoiding editing the filter roles too much as there are some technical optimizations needed

It seems to me that status immunity and knockback immunity have the same icon in the filter list.

Is this intended? If one is not used to regularly using the filters one might filter for the wrong thing at first.

Both of them uses the same icon in game
