Theatre

The Royal Theater is a minigame introduced in v1.7.2. The aim of the minigame is to help recreate famous plays by casting characters from your roster in its roles. To access this minigame, you must first complete Part 1 of the Main Story, then interact with the carriage in the upper right corner of Unigan.

The player can only pick from a small selection of characters for each role. Different characters will have different aptitudes for the role, which will reflect in the play itself. At the end of the play, the game will give a rating (Disappointing, Good, Great, Excellent) depending on how well-suited the cast was, and offer feedback on characters who stand out or are ill-suited. New visitors will be attracted to the theater regardless of performance.

Note that any style of the character is suitable, and it will be reflected in performance (the character will wear the outfit of currently selected style). However, Alter versions of characters aren't suitable for the same role.

Chronos Stones are awarded for Disappointing, Excellent and Max performances. A Max performance requires every member to be the best for the role, and is distinguished with a rain of confetti accompanying the "Excellent" rating. Earning the Max medal also awards the Excellent medal at the same time. The "Disappointing" rating is accompanied with the audience throwing trash at the stage, and does not require every member to be the worst possible performers.

Only three plays are initially unlocked - "Detective Haus and the Stolen Eye", "The Battle for Miglance Castle", and the "Radiant Eye". As plays are performed, additional NPCs will appear. After the first play, seat ushers will be added to the left and right doors (on the inside). The usher on the left will provide a visitor count. This visitor count will increase as you perform plays (the better the performance, the more it increases). Other plays become unlockable once you have achieved a certain visitor count and additional NPCs appear and new dialogue become available.

The Mermaid Princess

Based on a Miglance Dynasty ballad, a story famous in many port towns. One night, the young sailor Kasim seems to face certain death after being cursed. However, a beautiful mermaid appears at his side when he washes up on a beach...

Unlocked by having completed the side quest chain A Song Lost in the Flow of a River in Rinde and having more than 100 visitors. Talk to the NPC on the lower right outside of the Theater to receive the play script that the party can take back to the Impresario.

A Day for the Cloe Family

A play based on a popular sitcom from the Future. Cloe and her family usually get along, but something is off today. It looks like Papa has broken a promise to Cloe, and she's not very happy about it! Will this parent-child duo be able to patch things up?

Unlocked by having more than 100 visitors and hearing of Johann Chloel. After speaking with the Impresario, Amy will suggest traveling to Elzion. Talk to the couple next to the blacksmith before heading to the northwest corner of the map, where you can find a crowd surrounding a playwright named Johann Chloel. Talk to Chloel to receive the play script which the party can take back to the Impresario.

Promise Tree

A tale of two lovers inspired by the songs of nomadic desert minstrels. Setaka, devastated by the loss of his one true love, hears a rumor about a "Promise Tree" which can supposedly grant wishes. Upon finding it, Setaka expresses his earnest plea. But all is not as it seems...

Unlocked by having more than 300 visitors and hearing of the lovers of Cucutrouge. However, you can only actually receive the script after completing Chapter 3 of the Tower and Witch side story. After speaking with the Impresario, Cyrus will suggest traveling to the land of Cucutrouge, where present-day Zarbo stands. Head straight to the tavern of Zarbo and speak with the Bard. After you allow him to regale you with the tale from antiquity, the bard will offer you the play script which the party can take back to the Impresario.

An Eastern Tale: The Marionette

A play inspired by the marionettes from the East. An inventor and his apprentice are commissioned by a wealthy noble in the city to create a single marionette. Will the marionette truly measure up to the standards of the noble.
