Profile[edit]

Introduction Dialog[edit]

Wait don't tell me you're also blessed by the secret power. My bad. I must have mixed you up with this fellow I used to travel with a long time ago. You've peaked my interest. I can help you out. Let me join your adventure.

Editors note: For some reason Victors has 2 introductions which are almost identical, in his third sentence it changes to [...I'm experienced, I can help you out.]

Character Traits[edit]

Victor is very free spirited and lackadaisical, being a type of person who wouldn't hold a grudge against anybody and a person who puts the term "let bygones be bygones". After decades of being an adventurer, he speaks in an elderly manner, which confuses Aldo completely during the first character quest.

One of the biggest things to note about Victor is insanely powerful intuition. He is able to deduce a lot of things beforehand, almost being able to flip adventures on top of each other (much to the chagrin of Gileas and Aldo). He even guessed most of Aldo's entire adventure in the "Heroes of Bygone Days" side story. This intuition, however, isn't omnipotent as his third character quest shows. It tends to be a mix of experience in adventuring, great perception in general or just his happy-go-lucky nature taking over. Though he did annoy Gileas a lot over their youth, Gileas does note that Victor was "always damn right with his intuition".

Victor's selflessness is displayed overall on how he fights. One part is that he is shown to not really be able to hide his emotions that well. Despite his cool exterior, he was noted by Aldo to be a bit shaken in between the second and third character quest while also being noted to be legitimately shaken over the fact Aldo was in legitimate danger. When asked to give up his life for the sake of others, he doesn't seem to have much care for his life as he says "I've lived long enough". Even when given a question of whether he wants immortality again, Victor rejects the offer entirely.

Comically, Victor tends to also have a weird lure to cursed items items in general. He used both a belt that amplifies power and a cloak with protection magic to protect Aldo in his character story despite they both take life force as a cost. With it, his entire Another Style story revolves around how he just puts on a random piece of cursed armor.

Other Info[edit]

Victor's appearance is that of a energetic and youthful person who has short and disheveled red/magenta-colored hair.

His regular outfit (Vajra) is very colorful, starting out with a green vest with a neck-long collar with a belt that has two waist guards made of red/white cloth (left-side) and golden metal (right-side). The red waist guard holds a green jewel. For armor, Victor wears indigo/red/golden Pauldren on his left shoulder, a golden elbow guard on his right elbow, brown leather gloves and a cloak that has a white exterior, golden trim and blue/golden interior. To finish off, Victor wears white pants with brown boots that have indigo knee and foot protectors.

His Another Style (Ometeotl) outfit carries the same indigo/white/golden color theme, but Victor now wears a near full plate armor that completely surrounds his body. The armor has a indigo layer that completely surrounds Victor's body. With it, there are additional layers of armor from the foot to thighs, lower arms and the stomach. Victor adds a

The biggest thing to note, however, is the fact Victor has two blades (and scabbards). The top blade is his (due to how he wields it during the third character quest) while the bottom blade is Gileas's.

Victor appears in side quest: "Staff-off with the Mayor" If you have completed his third character quest, Victor is mentioned in Sword and Wings Mythos chapter 4.

Story[edit]

Victor is an adventurer, who used to be in a five-man adventurer team. The team consisted of the following besides Victor:

Albert: He was considered the leader of the group.

Gileas: Victor's long time friend and accomplished swordsman. Usually the straight man of the group.

Maisie: A traveling blacksmith.

Louise: A mage that was known to be one of the strongest in her days.

He was known to be somewhat of a troublemaker of the group alongside Louise, the team's mage. However, the group overall was a very tight knit group of friends, ones who would even be willing to give up everything if it meant that the others could live if a drastic situation calls for it. They went on or talked about their solo adventures, enjoying the time going on by.

However, after one adventure in the Rucyana sands, Victor and the party was cornered by a dangerous monster. Cornered, Victor was asked if he wanted to give up his future, growth and time for power that eliminates all foes. Victor took it full heartedly without any second thought, defeating the monster afterwards. However, the consequence of said power was that his body stopped aging. With it, Victor thought the fight wasn't over.

Due to this, he challenged Gileas to a duel for his sword then walked away from the group entirely.

After traveling frequently for decades, Victor meets Aldo in the Crossroads of Time.

Character Quest 1: The Life of an Adventurer[edit]

Victor and Aldo talk about being in Unigan, comically hinting that whenever they come by there is always a cry for help soonafter. When a cry for help comes out, Aldo and Victor finds a woman whose husband has gone missing after he tried to go pick up herbs. Accepting to help the woman, Aldo is about to go out to gather information when Victor outlines who to ask to gather information. Victor predicts what the three people Aldo asks would say almost word to word, putting together the puzzle that the husband asked where to find herbs, bought a knife and ran out into the monster infested Karek Swamplands.

When finding the husband surrounded by Sahuagins, Victor tells Aldo his three choices: Using a fruit to bait the Sahuagins, running in swords drawn or using a loud noise to scare them away. Aldo answers with the third, with Victor telling him that's the wrong answer. Victor then uses fruits to lure the Sahuagins and beats them with one single slice, surprising Aldo. However, when Aldo thinks the situation is over, Victor claims that it isn't over as the husband gets sweeped away by a harpy.

The two make their way to Nuaru Uplands, finding the husband trying to sneak away from the Harpy. They defeat it, but Victor deduces that the husband hasn't found any herbs to help his family. Victor gives him a bag full of herbs, saying that he picked some up thinking "he might need it" yesterday. After the adventure, Aldo asks if Victor knows the area around Baruoki, but Victor tells Aldo that it's a secret for some other time. With it, Aldo notes to Victor that he doesn't like adventures where everything is just set right in front of him and the element of surprise aren't there. However, Victor entirely misses the point, much to Aldo's dismay.

Character Quest 2: In Baruoki[edit]

Victor asks Aldo if he can take him to Baruoki, much to Aldo's confusion over the last character story. They meet someone that, as Aldo says, is probably one of the most suspicious person they've ever met. The suspicious person demands that Aldo bring his grandfather, the mayor of Baruoki, to the Moonlight Forest and that this request is for something important. Aldo says he will go into the Moonlight Forest himself and handle it, but Victor says his intuition tells him to bring the mayor with him. When asked why, Victor says it's his decision with Aldo resigning to Victor's intuition.

When Aldo introduces Victor to his grandfather, his grandfather recognizes and immediately attacks Victor. Victor dodges it, and both start telling Aldo about their relationship: Victor and Aldo's grandfather used to be in the same adventuring group. Victor claims that Aldo's grandfather knew him since they were children. When Aldo doubts it due to how young Victor looks, his grandfather admits that Victor has been his childhood friend and adventuring partner, much to Aldo's confusion. When talking about the past, the mayor notes about Victor's intuition With it, Victor talks about the group, noting the five where Albert was the first King Miglance, Maisie being May's grandmother and the Mayor's identity as Gileas.

When told about the situation with the shady figure, the Mayor decides to come with the two. He shows his power, overkilling an goblin complete. However, Victor has to save him a from another monster, much to the mayor's annoyance (noting "you keep the most important part to yourself!" and "you can't fool me Victor. You couldn't then and you won't now!").

When the group reaches the Moonlight Forest, the group is met by a noble who is asking for the rights to mine prisma out of the Moonlight Forest. The mayor outright refuses, saying that he will kick him back to wherever if he doesn't stop asking. When the mayor tries to fight after the noble decides to use force by bringing out a pet, the mayor's back gives in. Aldo and Victor beat the monster, but the noble brings out another stronger monster. The stronger monster attacks Aldo, staggering him. When Aldo asks Victor to help protect his grandfather, Victor outright refuses, much to Aldo's confusion. When the mayor is about to be attacked, May, Dumar and Dunamis come out to help Aldo and defeats the monster, forcing the noble to retreat.

After the adventure, Victor scolds Gileas on pushing himself too far, telling him that he isn't fit for adventures anymore and that he should cherish the people of his village more then the youthful drive of adventures. At the end, it is also revealed that Victor uses Gileas's sword instead of his, and that the reason why is because there is an enemy he must

Character Quest 3: A new Step[edit]

Aldo and Victor talk about meteor amber in Unigan, with how it mysteriously only appears to women. When King Miglance comes by to chatter about the topic, Victor calls King Miglance by his nickname "Kaddy", much to the surprise of everyone. When King Miglance wonders how the man that taught him swordsmanship looks like when he left, Victor says that it's a secret.

However, when a report of a monster sighting in Rucyana appears, Victor immediately requests King Miglance if he can take care of it. Noting Victor's shakiness before, Aldo decides to follow Victor, but to Victor's disapproval. The scout notes that girls in Zarbo have gone missing also, much to Victor's confusion.

When Victor and Aldo come to Zarbo, Victor asks Aldo to not lay a finger on the monster as it is his prey. When Victor fights the monster, Victor shows his preparations, from a jeweled belt that amplifies power, a cloak that boasts protective magic and his blade. After defeating the monster single-handedly for the final time, Victor notes that a chapter in his life is finished, with Aldo noting they should go find the girls.

However, a mysterious lady appears out of nowhere. Victor immediately recognizes her as Louise, the mage of the group. Louise outright admits she is the one behind the kidnapping, having spent decades kidnapping women to steal their youth forcibly. She says that she was given the power of immortality, yet it didn't let her become eternally youthful like Victor. She asks Victor to die for her so that she could become youthful forever. Despite Aldo's outright rejection, Victor accepts to die as he says "it is his own intuition". Aldo rejects the intuition and gets Louise to admit that she would have killed Aldo regardless of what Victor did. When seeing Aldo in danger, Victor immediately doubles back and grabs Aldo when Louise starts chanting magic.

Victor and Aldo talk about Louise, with Victor claiming Louise was never like this from what he remembers. In the discussion at Zarbo, both of them agree that Louise needs to be stopped, as she would never stop killing women even if Victor died for her. When both of them confront Louise again, Victor and Aldo put their best efforts to stop her, but Louise overpowers them entirely. When given a choice, Victor tells Aldo to tell Gileas that he's sorry then teleports with Louise to the ruins where he found the relic responsible for his eternal youth.

When in the ruins, Victor tries slashing in Louise's direction, much to Louise's claim that it is useless. However, Victor says that she wasn't his target, pointing to the relic being destroyed. With the relic destroyed, both adventurers end up aging rapidly, with Louise admitting that not wanting to see Victor young forever and her age has driven her from small envy to insanity. With it, Louise mentions about the meteor amber, disappearing before she could tell him the meaning of them. Victor resigns to his fate, only to see the relic restore itself (and his youth) with Louise's power given back. Victor is given a question of whether he wants the power of immortality, which Victor refuses. Aldo finds the girls unharmed midway to finding Victor and both of them escape the collapsing ruins.

Afterwards, Aldo makes Victor promise to never give up his life that easily. Victor decides to follow Aldo to his adventures, which causes Aldo to run away to his grandfather, It ends with Victor deciding that they're going on a racing adventure next.

Character Quest AS: Heroes Of The Old Days[edit]

Victor and Aldo "finish" another adventure, with Aldo talking about what adventures should be like. Victor then retorts by recounting all of Aldo's adventures from the "Heroes of Bygone Days" Baruoki event, much to Aldo's surprise. Victor then reveals that he, in fact, is the owner of the house that has scared Aldo, May, Nomar, and Darunis back when they were children. The house was kept locked as Victor gave Maisie the key. After reminiscing a bit, Victor asks Aldo if he would be fine visiting the home for a bit.

In Victor's home, Victor shows even more cursed items, from a box that steals the soul out of people to a club from a monster that could obliterate Unigan easily. He also says that the house used to be the base of operations for the adventuring group. When Aldo tells him of the adventure with the armor obtained from the Spearbreaker, Victor puts on the armor and asks Aldo if this was the armor he talked about. Aldo asks where he got it, with Victor telling the story of how he put it on randomly (much to Gileas's vexation), after Maisie brought it in and how that started a new adventure in trying to doff the armor.

When adventuring in the graveyard where Aldo defeated the Spearbreaker, Victor asks if he could go alone. After separating from the group, Victor finds the soul of an adventurer. The adventurer was killed when defending a villager from a tremendously dangerous monster. When their soul took over the armor, the regrets the soul had turned the armor into the Spearbreaker. However, when the spirit tries to tell Victor his regret, Victor cuts him off constantly saying that the soul must have been wanting to find a real opponent. When they fight, the soul immediately realizes Victor wasn't even as serious to begin with. Then he attacks the soul, which disables the curse for him to take off the armor. Thinking the soul was freed, he just moves on.

After hearing the story, Aldo tells Victor that the soul wasn't even disappointed about not being able to do its special attack. Despite Victor trying to interrupt him, Aldo outright ignores everything and tells Victor he needs to go see the soul. At the graveyard, Victor notices the armor tightening and that the soul has become a big ball of miasma. Victor mentions that his intuition says the soul is one day from freedom, which sends the soul over the edge to attacking Aldo and Victor.

Victor says that it was his mistake over his youth (despite the Soul's confusion over how it has been decades), the soul talks about how there was a helmet with the armor that fell off when the monster cut off their head. Victor tries to object, with Aldo immediately cutting off Victor. Victor then admits he had the helmet the whole time, having gained it from clearing an underground monster nest.

The soul, seeing Aldo and Victor's bickering, asks Victor if he likes adventures. Victor claims that it's his favorite, noting everything Aldo has said of what truly means an adventure in the beginning: exploring, seeing new places, being with friends, and getting in trouble. Victor says that he will take the soul (through the armor) to all sorts of adventures. The soul decides to go to sleep for a bit, with Victor's curse lifted.

Back at Aldo's home, Victor, Aldo, and the mayor talk about the recent adventure. The Mayor exclaims that Victor's intuition, despite its shortcomings, is always right. Maisie walks in to meet Victor. Aldo asks why Victor can't use his other sword despite defeating its foe and Victor claims that he forgot. The mayor loses it, demanding Victor give back his sword. The two go at it while Maisie mentions how Albert and Louise would be laughing together with them. Victor gets depressed for a bit until he hears both Albert and Louise ask why he's grim.

The episode ends with the four talking about old times with Albert and Louise watching over them.
