• Salamander's Back is a separate target. Depleting its health will knock Salamander down for 3 turns, interrupting its action for the turn and preventing it from using its stronger attacks while it's down.
• If the player uses Undine's Tear at the start of the fight, Flamethrower will not set the field ablaze, and Salamander will become weak to Water. You can only obtain the Spirit Crystal during a rematch with Salamander after completing Chapter 44.
