Story[edit]

Character Quest 1[edit]

Troubles on a Perfect Day

Aldo and Daisy discover a soul that shouldn’t be in this world on the Derismo Highroad. They decide to follow it to learn how to return it.

Daisy is enjoying herself in Derismo Highroad and the mortal world in general with Aldo, when she notices a faint soul in front of Palsifal Palace. They follow it inside, where they find it surrounded by four kids performing a spirit seance to learn what their surprise test will be about, but who cannot actually see the soul. Daisy scolds them, but the kids just laugh at her and resolve to try another spirit seance, which is actually a summoning of the dead ritual and may be dangerous, as they may end up summoning an evil spirit.

Daisy and Aldo go find the kids at the archives, as the lost soul follows them. They try stopping the kids from performing another seance, but are too late and a monster from the underworld appears. The kids still don’t believe that Daisy is trying to protect them and are abducted by the monster, who loves the soft and tender souls of children. Daisy senses them towards Keruri Highroad and decides to head there with Aldo, leaving the lost soul behind, despite its request to accompany her as well.

Daisy and Aldo are almost too late to save the kids, as the monster has summoned minions, but the lost soul appears and buys them enough time to turn things around and defeat the monsters while saving the kids.

As the kids are trying to thank Daisy, she scolds the lost soul and finds out that it already knew the kids, who have previously saved its life. In order to make things less confusing, Daisy grants the soul its former form of a cat. It is revealed that the kids had fed the cat, Nyanta, in Palsifal Palace when he was still alive. They all return to Palsifal Palace, where Daisy teaches the kids how to send the cat’s soul back.

Once alone, Daisy tells Aldo that the summoning originally required the sacrifice of the summoners to be performed, but she later convinced the up-aboves to exchange the sacrifice with flowers instead of human lives. As Aldo notes that Daisy is actually quite kind-hearted and was even nice to a cat, she repeats that she hates cats and is more of a dog-person, although her definition of cute is different than that of most people.

Character Quest 2[edit]

Weight of a Soul

Aldo and Daisy arrive at Elzion. There, some breaking news catches their attention.

Aldo is surprised to find out that Daisy knows more about Elzion and the Future than him. The electronic notice board alerts them of an upcoming press conference in Gamma District and they decide to check it out.

There, Pero, a drone from the Elzion Writers Club local news section, introduces a researcher who has found a way to recycle androids’ cores. As Daisy knows that androids too have souls, albeit feeble, she figures out that the researcher is cobbling them together, although he denies doing so and dismisses her. Aldo and Daisy decide to go stop him at Xeno-Domain.

They catch him doing business with a hooded figure, apparently a scrap android trader. They try persuading him, but when that doesn’t work, Daisy resolves to let him go and simply free the trapped souls.

It is revealed that the researchers does know that he is cobbling souls together, but is willing to continue for fame. He puts the cobbled souls into an android before Daisy and Aldo can stop him. Daisy has him listen to the souls’ cries, but he remains unfazed and has the android attack her and Aldo, who are forced to destroy it to free the dying souls, who thank Daisy before disappearing. As the researcher still wants to continue with his work, Daisy and Aldo destroy his equipment while freeing all the remaining souls.

They return to Theta District and read news that the researcher’s data was found to be fraudulent. There is nothing that Daisy can nor cares to do about him, as it is a matter of the mortal world, but she resolves to appoint a manager to protect and see that androids’ souls can safely reach Purgatory.

Character Quest 3[edit]

Aroma of a Flower

Daisy arrives in the Corinda Plains with Aldo. She is unusually unsettled, and says she’s concerned about some… Evil spirits.

Aldo catches Daisy in Corinda Plains acting concerned, as souls are profusely excitable during this time and are in particular danger. They are interrupted by a scream, although Daisy couldn’t feel any evil spirit.

They find a young elf lady being attacked by a monster that Daisy promptly scares away with her power. When the lady goes to thank them, Daisy seems to recognize her and asks her what she was looking for. The elf reveals that she was looking for a star daisy flower, which Daisy finds and hands to her. As the girl is about to leave to go offer it to her granny at a grave at Lake Tiilen, Daisy offers to escort her, surprising Aldo with her uncharacteristic behavior.

They find the grave, which is the tombless spot by the extra tall sapling and the pinkish flower with enormous blossoms where the person died. After the offering, the girl is ready to reunite with her granny, startling Aldo, but the girls explains that her granny is still alive and that the grave was her granny’s friend’s. She elaborates that her granny is bedridden and wanted to visit her friend’s grave before resting in peace, so she did it in her stead. Finally, Daisy reveals that she knows the girl’s granny and wants to pay her respects in Ratle.

On their way, the girl tells Daisy that her granny was never actually able to find star daisies, but her friend could do it with magic just as Daisy did. Before she can ask a question, she is interrupted by evil spirits that Aldo and Daisy quickly defeat. As more evil spirits appear, they stay back to fend them off, allowing the elf lady to go say her goodbyes to her granny.

After the fight, Daisy tells Aldo that the girl made it in time to see her granny off, so they don’t need to hurry to Ratle. Daisy explains that the granny was a friend of hers when she was human and that she died in front of her by the spot they visited. Daisy recounts how she was fooled by a monster and drowned, but not before saving her friend, refusing to let her die for a mistake she made.

She admits to have chosen to stay in Purgatory to one day be reunited with her friend, but is actually afraid that her soul may forget about her. She then returns to the Purgatory, apologizing to Aldo for having dragged him into all of that.

Aldo, worried about Daisy, ventures to Purgatory, where he sees the elf lady and asks her what she is doing there. When Daisy appears, the elf lady is revealed to be the granny, and the two friends are finally reunited. Afterwards, they share a drink together, but Daisy ends up drunk.
