Baruoki is your starting town. The west exit leads to the Nuaru Uplands. The east exit, which isn't immediately accessible, leads out to the Karek Swampland.

Upon completing chapter 25, The Cat Beyond its Territory becomes available here. When venturing out as a cat, you can nap on the cat cushions in the houses and climb the ladder of the house at the south of the map.

Upon completing chapter 25, you can again talk to Feinne for Feinne’s Sandwiches as your lunch box. Upon completing chapter 48, you can talk to Feinne for Feinne's Rice Ball as an alternative lunch box.

There's an unmarked sidequest that will trigger when you talk to the girl with the balloons for the first time. You can also play a one-time game of hide and seek with the boy in the upper well for a Hide'n'Seek King Badge.
